I met Mateo in 2010. In 2012, I traveled to the Sofitel Santa Clara Hotel in Cartagena to photograph him. Among tropical leaves and red hibiscus, his colors held the light and his gaze held mine. These portraits are my tribute to an unforgettable encounter.
